I flew Icelandair for the first time. This was to: 1. have a chance at seeing the Northern Lights, 2. have a stopover on the transatlantic crossing, 3. fly from BWI instead of Dulles, and 4. see a new country. Only #3 was a real success, as the weather didn’t cooperate in either direction, I didn’t like going through an extra airport either, and I wasn’t thrilled with Iceland at first. But looking back, I actually might want to go back just there to give it another chance … but on a tour.
